Principle: 

Adequate Public Facilities.

Policy Description: 

When permitting additional development or redevelopment, the City will consider whether public facilities and services are adequate to reasonably maintain current levels of service or service standards given the impacts of such additional development, or whether committed funding sources for such adequate facilities are sufficient to ensure their provision in a timely fashion.

Action Items:

Action 1:

Develop a set of criteria to evaluate community benefit with annexation requests.

Action 2:

Reference Service Master Plans during the development review process to ensure that adequate public facilities are available or can be installed by the developer in a timely and cost effective manner as development occurs.

Action 3:

Use the buildout model to evaluate service cost impacts of new development.
